Bathroom install in Surrey.
So first things first, we laid carpet protector up the stairs and floor protection in the hallways and moved any furniture we required. Next we removed all sanitary-ware, wall tires and floor coverings.
On this project there was an airing cupboard about where the thermostatic mixer is, We removed this to allow more space on the end of the bath. We made adjustments to the shower mixer feeds and waste pipe. We also rerouted the towel rail to its new position, at the end of the bath. Next we skimmed the ceiling and fitted new IP65 rated chrome spotlights, along with converting the pull-cord type switch to a switch in the hallway.
We then fitted the new bath, made good and primed all the walls. We always fill the bath up with water then tile, if you don't do this sometimes a gap will occur between tiles and bath. We also future proved the bath by fitting a removable panel which consisted of two tiles silicone sealed with matching silicone to the grout for an invisible flawless finish. The tiles we used the this project where rectified, meaning that they are 100 percent straight and true. (some cheaper tiles are bowed and not straight and will create lip age).
After tiling and grouting was complete with fitted the new shower mixer, shower enclosure and all sanity-ware.
Next we fitted the LVT vynal click flooring. We always recommend this as its a great product to use. Its waterproof and much more safer than tiles, if you have children or elderly people in your household I'd highly recommend it over tiles. There are a huge online selection and most suppliers offer free samples to allow you to make the right decision on the one you like. The best brand in Quickstep.
Once the flooring is laid, we then make sure everything is clean and looking fresh, We then applied silicone to all leading edges in a matching silicone to the grout.
And wolarr, the bathroom project is compete:)
Now to take up our floor protection, re-arrange any furniture we may have moved and clean up in such a way so that your property is cleaner than when we started.
We use a licensed waste carrier we use on all of our jobs (Clearoff), that will remove all the building waste and again, leave the area spick and span.
