Check out this cool bathroom we have just installed in Staines...

When we started the bathroom was tired and needed modernising. We;

Plastered the ceiling.
Installed an extractor fan.
Changed the pullcord to switch outside.
Renewed all the plumbing pipework.
Repaired the walls prior to tiling.
Waterproofed the walls in the wet areas.
Prepared the floor prior to tiling but fitting tile boards to the floor and also screwing down any loose floor boards.
Tiled walls half way and tiled the floor.
Installed all new appliances.(bath, bath screen, bath panels, vanity sink unit, thermostatic shower mixer, designer towel rail,illuminated mirror and rimless toilet.

We offered to move the sink if it was possible tot but unfortunatley it wasnt.

So we shifted it as far left as possible to maintain access to the boiler housing.

The boiler housing was bespoke built by us, choosing a board to colour match the vanity unit our client has choosen.

Inside the boiler housing we made a removable panel to hide the pipework but to also allow access if need be. In front of the removable panel we also fitted some shelving.

Due to the cutting pattern for the boiler housing there was quite a big offcut.

So we designed a floor standing cupboard unit in the same material as the sink unit also.

Here's a kitchen and bathroom project we supplied and installed in Teddington Middlesex...

This project was completed in approximatley 6 weeks, our client was over the moon with the end results.

The kitchen...

So previously there was a free standing fridge freezer on the left which took up a huge chunk of potential worktop space.

There was a cupboard just to the left which the fridge freezer could just squeeze into. And we fitted a bespoke storage joinery unit above it, gaining precious worktop space!

The kitchen its self is a dove grey handleless type, the worktops were supplied and installed by my supplier. The applainces are fancy smart samsung ones and the flooring in LVT vynal click flooring.

With this project we also fitted a sliding door as the door always seemed to be in the way meaning you would have to shut the door to gain access to the fridge. now the door slides along the way not hindering and precious space!

The bathroom..

Initally the bathroom included a bath, this was replaced with a walk in shower.

The artex cieling was plastered to make it flat and then it was painted.

My client opted of cool digital shower and the pump was cited in a cupboard next door. With this digital shower it helps with gravity system pressure by increasing it and the temperate is digitally controlled. Further more it can be conctrolled via an app so when you get into the shower it will be set and running to your desired temperature.

The walls where tiled in a stone effect tile and and floor was fitted with LVT vynal click flooring, whic is water proof, warm on the feet and cost effective.

Before...

Here is both a before and after picture of a particular ensuite we've just installed.

We removed all the sanitary ware, adjusted waste pipe for the shower tray, adjusted the pipework for a consealed shower mixer. The walls were lined in plasterboard so it needed to be replaced before we could start to tile the walls.

The floor had underfloor heating from a ground source heat pump, so upon removing the tiles we needed to be extremely careful not to damage the subfloor that contained the pipework. The tiles on the floor failed previously as they where tiled straight onto the chipboard flooring. So we fitted a decoupling matting prior to tiling to allow the subfloor to move and the tiles to stay put.

This was bathroom one of two in the same property in Teddington.

Bathroom install in Windsor

This bathroom installation project started with full preparation to protect the client’s home. We laid carpet protection on the stairs, covered all hallway flooring, and carefully moved any furniture where required.

We then removed all existing sanitary ware, wall tiles, and floor coverings to begin the renovation.

On this project, there was an airing cupboard located where the new thermostatic shower mixer was planned. We removed this to create more usable space at the end of the bath. We also adjusted the shower mixer pipework and waste pipes, and rerouted the towel rail to its new position for a better layout.

As part of the installation, we skimmed the ceiling and fitted new IP65-rated chrome spotlights. We also upgraded the electrical setup by converting the pull-cord switch to a modern wall switch located outside in the hallway.

We then installed the new bath, prepared all surfaces, and primed the walls ready for tiling. As part of our process, we always fill the bath with water before tiling to prevent movement and avoid gaps forming between the tiles and bath over time.

To future-proof the installation, we fitted a removable bath panel using tiled sections, finished with colour-matched silicone to the grout for a seamless, high-end look.

The tiles used on this project were rectified tiles, meaning they are perfectly straight and consistent. This allows for a tighter joint and a cleaner finish, unlike cheaper tiles which can be slightly bowed and lead to uneven edges.

Once tiling and grouting were complete, we installed the new shower mixer, enclosure, and all sanitary ware, completing the main bathroom fitting work.

We then fitted LVT click vinyl flooring, which we regularly recommend on our property refurbishments projects . It is fully waterproof, durable, and safer underfoot compared to tiles, making it ideal for family homes or properties with elderly occupants. After flooring installation, we completed all final detailing, including applying colour-matched silicone to all edges for a clean and watertight finish.

The project was then fully cleaned, all protection removed, and furniture repositioned, leaving the property in excellent condition. We always aim to leave homes cleaner than when we arrived.

All waste was removed using a licensed waste carrier, ensuring the site was left tidy and compliant.

Trendy herringbone tiling in the shower with gold fittings..

This bathroom project began when the client noticed a leak appearing on the kitchen ceiling below. After investigating, we found the issue was coming from an existing wet room that had unfortunately failed over time, causing damage and rot to the timber subfloor beneath.

To resolve the problem properly, we removed the existing wet room and replaced it with a low-profile stone shower tray, providing a more reliable and long-lasting solution. As part of the bathroom installation in Staines-upon-Thames , we also built a recessed niche into the wall, adding both practicality and a modern finish to the space.

The work was carried out during lockdown, and we followed all government guidelines to ensure safe working conditions while continuing to deliver a high standard of workmanship.

A key feature of this installation was the herringbone wall tiling. This style takes significantly longer to install compared to standard brick-bond tiling, as the setting out process is far more precise. Getting the layout correct is essential to achieve a clean and balanced finish.

Before tiling, we ensured all walls were as level and plumb as possible. The centre line for herringbone tiling is not based on the tile edge but where the diagonal lines intersect. From there, we marked a 45-degree line from the corner of a tile, measured across to the opposite corner, and used this to calculate and offset the true centre line.

We then measured the wall height, set out the tile pattern accordingly, and determined the position of the final cuts. A level batten was fixed to guide the first row, and a laser line was used to maintain accuracy along the centre line.

Once tiling began, it was essential to regularly check alignment using a square, ensuring the pattern remained consistent throughout. Careful checking every few rows helped maintain a precise and professional finish across the entire wall.

My client in Old Windsor opted for mosaic hexagon tiles to fill the gap where the leaking wet-room started and I think it works well We also repainted to bathroom, tiled the bath panel and bath splashbacks. We also done some plastering and painting in another room as part of the project. Once completed we removed all floor protection, hoovered and cleaned up and made our working area spotless. We then got our licensed waste disposal team in to dispose of all building waste and materials. Another extremely happy customer :)
